Graveside services for Wilda Mae (Cobb) Hanvy, 80 of Lufkin will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2018 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Maydelle under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Rusk with Johnny Wilcox officiating.
Mrs. Hanvy was born September 6, 1937 in Maydelle, Texas to the late Aaron and Myrtle Cobb. She attended Maydelle school and she loved helping people, having spent her lifetime as a healthcare aide. She loved to cook and was famous for her homemade candy. She also enjoyed spending time flower gardening as well as watching squirrels and birds.
She is survived by her husband, Billy A. Hanvy, daughter Sabrina Fountain and her husband Jerry of Henderson, son, Johnny C. Wilcox of Lufkin, sister, Joy Fay Glass of Tyler, sister-in-law, Gloria Cobb of Rusk, Nephews Danny Glass and his wife Peggy of Tyler, Wayne Cobb of Spring, Gaylon Cobb, nieces, Linda Cobb of Spring, and Anita Cobb of Tyler.
