Jacksonville - A funeral service for Richard Dewayne Bird, age 81, was held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Bro. Eric Johnson officiating. He was laid to rest at McDonald Cemetery in New Summerfield. He passed away on April 23, 2026. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Joy Birdwell Bird and children; Reva Tennison (Marty) and Percy Dale Bird (Skye) as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
