Patsy Pruett
Patsy Jean Pruett, a long-time resident of the East Texas area, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, at Arabella of Athens, Texas.
Born in 1939 in Dialville, Texas, Patsy received her degree in education from the University of Houston, with honors. In the late '70s, she taught kindergarten in Anahuac, Texas, for 10 years, when a stroke shortened her career and she was cared for by her husband, Bruce Pruett, for her remaining years.
Patsy was an accomplished artist until her stroke. She was a great friend to all she met. She lit up a room.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Bruce; son Paul and wife Tere; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. They all brought her great joy!
Memorials may be made to any cancer research.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at the Church of Christ in Rusk, Texas.

Sure loved these two. I did Patsy's hair for acouple of years. She would doze off under the dryer, her head would bob up and down. She earned the nickname "Bob"! I miss her stories and even more her laugh!!!
