Jacksonville - A memorial service for Mary Lee Molander Stamper, 88, of Jacksonville, is scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mary was born on May 16, 1937, in Nacogdoches, to David and Mary Elizabeth (Chireno) Molander and went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2025.
Mary married her beloved Buddy Stamper on September 5, 1956, in Houston. She devoted herself to motherhood and in 1975, as her children grew into their own lives, Mary began a new chapter. She joined the Jacksonville Garden Club, where her love of beauty and growth found kindred spirits. She worked in various positions in Jacksonville which eventually led her to Bealls Distribution Center. There, she rose through the ranks and retired as the Customer Care shift manager. Mary's presence will be missed deeply, and her memory will be honored by all who were blessed to know her.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Stamper; brothers, Wayne and David Molander; and sisters, Leola Molander Zscheck and Mae Molander.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Buddy Stamper; daughter, Denise Bragg, of Jacksonville; brother, Joseph Herman Molander and wife, Jessie, of Katy; grandchildren, Jennifer Black, of Lindale, Brian Bragg, of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, and Evan Stamper, of Jacksonville; great-grandchild, Jaliyah Black; and many loving extended family.
