Jacksonville, Texas - Judy Carolyn Watson, age 78, peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2025, at her home in Jacksonville, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Henderson, Texas, officiated by Rev. David Nelson.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, and family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Judy was born on October 2, 1947, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Archie and Bernice Bolton. She was raised in Dialville, Texas, and was a proud graduate of Jacksonville High School. On May 29, 1965, she married the love of her life, Richard Watson, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Joseph R. Watson, Jr.; her brothers, Bo Bolton and Joe Bolton; and her sister, Doris Bohler.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Watson; her brother, Wayne Bolton; her sisters, Ann Southwell, Sue Ezell, Faye Thomason, and Linda Spittler; her son, Timothy Watson, and his wife, Kelly; six grandchildren (Meagen, Holly, Ty, Cole, Zack, and Will); and three great-grandchildren (Emory, Charlotte, and Lyla), all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Judy was a dedicated and hardworking professional through much of her life. She co-owned East Texas Office Supply with her husband, later managed The Office Shop, both in Jacksonville, and worked as a sales representative for Stationers Distribution Company.

She also served in the purchasing department at ETMC-Jacksonville, where she was respected for her reliability and commitment.

She loved to travel, especially cruising and road trips, enjoyed reading, and found her greatest happiness in time spent with those she loved. She will be remembered for her steady presence, her devotion to family, and the strength with which she lived her life.
