Funeral services for Joe Kenneth Williamson, 93, of Rusk will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Rusk with Rev. Donnie Barron and Rev. Brian Givens officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Williamson passed away peacefully on December 1, 2019. He was born March 31, 1926 to the late JR and Jewel Williamson. He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy then became a logging contractor for Texas Basket Factory for over 50 years. Mr. Williamson was a member of First Baptist Church in Rusk.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 66 years, Margie Banks Williamson. He is survived by a sister, Melba Wallace of Pasadena, TX, numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time, Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Robert Penn, Ray Penn, Rudy Penn, Ricky Penn, Alan Wallace and Jason Kellis.
