Jacksonville - A funeral service for Don Kelly Booth, 80, is scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Rev. Mike Bowen will officiate. He will be laid to rest at Providence Cemetery in Dialville, TX.
Visitation will begin Monday, August 25, 2025, and family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Don Kelly Booth was born December 12, 1944, to the late Carlton and Pauline (Harrell) Booth. Throughout his life, he had a passion for baseball, and he was proud to be a star pitcher. He was a Class of 1962 graduate of Jacksonville High School. Upon graduation, he attended Tyler Junior College and received his degree as a draftsman. On January 16, 1965, he married Faye Hopkins and they resided in Houston for over 12 years. During this time, he worked for Texas Instruments, where he truly enjoyed being a part of their baseball team. Don Kelly had several hobbies but most of all he loved motorcycles: especially his yellow Honda Goldwing.
Don Kelly was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Hasty and Dolletta Moore and his brother, Carlton Guinn Booth Jr.
His memory will be cherished by his wife, Faye Booth; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Jennifer Booth; and brother, Travis and Carol Booth. He is also survived by his grandchildren Landen Booth, Preston Booth and Chloe Booth; and many other loving extended family.
