Dennis Oliver Gaines, age 42, of Jacksonville, TX passed from this life on Monday December 1, 2025.
Dennis was born August 12, 1983 in Buffalo, TX to mother Patrecia Ward and father Henry A. Gaines Sr. He grew up and attended schools in Lake Dallas, Palestine, and graduated in Jacksonville in 2001.
Dennis worked as a surveyor and recently worked for Wal-Mart.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, maternal grandparents LF and Dorothy (Dickson) Nance, fraternal grandparents Henry M. and Charlotte (Smith) Gaines, brother Patrick Gaines, and brother Henry "Bubba" Gaines Jr.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are children Indy Creek, Stephanie, Wyatt, and David, sister Cheryl Gaines, brother Bobby Nance and wife Amy, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones, and friends who will forever have lasting memories in their hearts of Dennis O Gaines. Gone but never forgotten.
Dennis will be laid to rest in the Gaines family cemetery in Elmtown, TX with a celebration of life at a later date to be determined.
