Beauford Jackson Wright, 99, of Rusk passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 in Rusk. He was born April 6, 1919 in Trinidad, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll Calvin Wright and Alice (Smalling) Wright; brothers, Lester Wright, Carroll Wright, Maurice Wright; sisters, Blanch Wright, Cleora Fleming, Demetria McPherson, Eugenia Wright; son, Larry Wright; wife Faye Wright of 67 years.

He was a Navy veteran during World War II stationed on Midway Island. He retired from Texas Power and Light after 42 years of dedicated service. He worked many years for Bobby Tosh building houses in Rusk. He was a member of the Rusk Church of Christ.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Joyce Stanley of Flint, grandsons, Michael Rogers of Midland and John Mark Rogers and wife Crystal of Bullard; great grandchildren, JD Rogers and wife Brittney, Julia Drinkard and husband Zach, Jace Rogers, Jade Rogers, Hannah Grace Rogers, Mark Rogers and Hadley Rogers.

Pallbearers are his grandsons and great grandsons. A funeral service will be at the Wallace-Thompson Chapel with Jerry McRae and Robby Arrington officiating at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
