Graveside services for Willie B. Paine, 93, of Jacksonville will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at Resthaven Cemetery with Dale Jamerson officiating under the direction of Boren Conner Funeral Home.
Mr. Paine was born Oct. 11, 1923, in Cushing, Texas. He died Oct. 27, 2016, in Jacksonville, Texas.
He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville. He was an elder at First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville and co-owner of Paine Auto Supply for 68 years. He was a member of the Jacksonville Kiwanis Club, Automotive Wholesalers of Texas (past board member) and the American Legion (past commander.)
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a World War II veteran. He was a Top Turret Gunner and flight engineer on B-26 bombers.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maryleen Taylor Paine and brother, Virgil Max Paine.
Survivors include his son, Rodney Paine and wife, Ann, of Hideaway, Texas; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
