A funeral service for Roland "Pops" Beezley, age 82, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 10 o'clock in the morning Monday, October 17, 2016, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Bro. Bruce Robinson and Bro. James Dorman officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rocky Springs Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mr. Beezley passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016, in Jacksonville.
Roland was born December 13, 1933, in Syracuse, Nebraska to Orville and Mary Beezley.
"Pops" was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved watching his grandkids sports. He was known for making homemade candy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Jody Anderson, Steven Moore; granddaughter, Ashley Harris; great-grandson, Cameron Robinson; sisters, Barbara Ann and Eloise.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years Patsy Beezley of Jacksonville; sons, Dan Beezley and wife Cindy of NE, Tim Beezley and wife Paula of NE; daughter, Lynn Williamson and husband John of Fla.; stepsons, Byron Robinson of Jacksonville, Barry Robinson and wife Debbie of Jacksonville, Bruce Robinson and wife Cindy of Alto, Brent Robinson and wife Lori of CO; stepdaughters, Becky Erickson and husband Jim of ID, Betsy Roberts and husband Randy of Jacksonville. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Benji Robinson, Bobby Robinson, Edgar "June Bug" Miles, Randy Roberts, Brent Nance, Garrett Anderson, Justin Salinas and Jim Erickson.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, October 16, 2016, and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
