A funeral service for Karen Craig Boykin, age 76, of Jacksonville, is scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Autry Funeral Chapel, Jacksonville with Bro. Don Stanaland and Bro. A. B. Keating officiating. Interment will take place at Morris Cemetery in Gilmer.
Karen passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, in Jacksonville.
She was born November 7, 1939, in Laredo, Texas to J. V. and Helen Leatherwood Craig.
Karen was a member New Life United Pentecostal Church and was a past member of Ironton First Baptist Church. She retired from Western Lithotech after 10-plus years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ruthie Craig.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, J. C. Boykin; daughter, Robbi Nuss; sons, Darold Sawers and wife Gladys, all of Jacksonville and J. V. Sawers and wife Kari of California; stepsons, Jay Boykin and wife Julie of Caldwell, Douglas Boykin and wife Jennifer, LA; sisters, Avon Hatfield of San Antonio and Jackie Kahle of New Jersey; seven grandchildren, Rebekah, Crystal, Daniel and wife Kathy, Dusti, Elizabeth, Breanna, and Patricia; three great grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah and Brooke; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jay Boykin, Darold Sawers, Alan Ottens and Douglas Boykin.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, with family receiving friends from 9 to 10 in the morning at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
