Memorial services for Hale Sherrell, age 82, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Dale Jamerson officiating. Mr. Sherrell passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016, in Tyler. He was born September 14, 1933, in Izard County, Arkansas to Earl and Mamie (McCurley) Sherrell. Hale was member of St. Johns United Methodist Church and was a traffic engineer and worked for many cities in that capacity. He was preceded in death by his parents; and bother and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Tate Sherrell; sons, John Sherrell, Greg Sherrell and wife Rhonda; grandchildren, Michael Sherrell, Brian Hovey and wife Ashley, Lauren Hovey; great-granddaughter, Haiven Hovey; and a sister, Bennie Gene Keel.
