Glenn Randle (Randy) Ford died on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, in Midlothian, Texas. He was born in the Waxahachie Hospital on Aug. 23, 1947, to Glenn and Grace Ford. Randy grew up in Midlothian and graduated from Midlothian High School in 1965. He earned a B.A. degree with a major in Spanish from North Texas State University in 1968 and earned his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1971. Randy was married on June 10, 1972, to the greatest gift Jesus gave him, his wife, Ruth Karen Boyles. With her by his side, he pastored four different Southern Baptist churches for over 35 years. These churches were Pleasant Grove Baptist, located near Lexington, TX; Trinity Baptist in Youngstown, Ohio; Sunset Baptist in Jacksonville, TX and First Baptist in LaGrange, TX. He was saved, baptized, called to preach, licensed to preach and ordained to the Gospel Ministry at First Baptist Church in Midlothian, TX. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, TX. Randy is survived by his wife, Karen Ford of Midlothian, two daughters, Rachel Lynn Albin and husband, Tom of Georgetown, TX and Amy Elizabeth Johnson and husband, Mike of Biloxi, Mississippi, four granddaughters; Grace Johnson, Katie Albin, Megan Johnson and Erin Johnson and sister, Thelma Harrington of Watkinsville, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Pogue of Midlothian. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at Midlothian Funeral Home and services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, TX with burial following in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cedar Hill, TX.
