Funeral services for Carroll David Lusk, 72, of Lake Striker, Texas will be Wednesday April 12th at 10am at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Muse cemetery near Grapeland. Mr. Lusk was born September 13,1944 in Palestine, Texas to Ghent and Lucille (Foster) Lusk. He died Friday, April 7, 2017 at his home on Lake Striker. David was a Christian and had accepted Jesus as his Savior. David attended Stephen F Austin University where he majored in Business and Psychology. For many years he worked at Sears in Houston in retail. He then worked for Rusk State Hospital as a counselor until he retired. After retirement, David moved to Lake Striker to live out his life enjoying, his family, his pets, fishing, and his Yankee games. Survivors include his daughter, Lea Savage and "significant other" Tim Berg of Temecula, Ca; Son, Kyle Palmer of Dallas, Tx, former daughter-in-law, Crystal and Husband Lynn Vaughan of Elkhart, Tx; Grandchildren: Dustin Gray and Ashley Jeffcoat from Lake Striker, Dylan Savage of San Francisco, Ca, Kylie and Cole Gray of Palestine, Tx, Taylor and Tye Berg of Temecula, Ca : Great Grandchildren: Kiarrah Webster, Brody Gray, Colton Gray, Zaylee Gray and mother Amber Webster all of Slocum, Tx : Brother Ronnie and Donna Lusk of Lufkin. Preceding David in death were his parents.
