A funeral service for Bonnie Belk, age 87, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 10 o'clock in the morning Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Jack White officiating. She will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Mrs. Belk passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in Jacksonville.
Bonnie was born July 17, 1929 in Jacksonville to Fred and Anna Bell (McAnnally) Paris.
She did several things during her lifetime. She worked Marja's, The Christmas Store, and The Texas Handbag Factory. Once, she was the owner of the Hitching Post Florist Shop in Jacksonville. She worked for Walmart for 18 years and sold real estate with Rock Spraggins and Shaw Real Estate.
Bonnie attended the Lookout Valley Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Belk; parents; sons, David, Terry and Ricky Don Belk; brother, Alton and Elvis Paris; and a grandson, Robbie Harris.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debbie Belk of Jacksonville, Connie Belk of Jacksonville, Cathy Belk of Carthage; and son, Robert Dale Belk of Sardis. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Sheila Paris White of Rusk; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Hale, Bobby Harris, Nolan Scruggs, Rocky Spraggins, Jerry Scruggs and Toney Jowell. Honorary pallbearers are Lonnie Jimerson and Larry Arnold.
Visitation will begin on Friday, January 6, 2017 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
