A funeral service for Shirley Ann Beebe Knous is scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon Friday, September 9, 2016, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Pastor James Dill officiating.
Shirley Ann Beebe Knous was born to Hazel Martin Beebe and Josh Henry Beebe in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 23, 1941, and died on September 6, 2016. She had been a resident at Cartmell Home in Palestine for the last 4 years. Shirley lived and worked in the Jacksonville area for most of her life and enjoyed volunteering with local organizations. She loved the Lord, her children, her family, and her friends.
Shirley is survived by daughters Lisa Knous Cole and husband Jim of Lindale and Kelly Floyd of Jacksonville; sons Kenny Knous and wife Melissa and Bill Knous, Jr. and wife Joni of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Although she was preceded in death by both parents and sisters Ruby, Carolyn and Mary, and brothers Roy, Earl, Huey and Bill, Shirley is survived by a sister Bertie Youngblood and two brothers Josh Beebe (Junior) and Johnny McCarty, as well as lots of nieces and nephews.
Grandchildren Jeremy, Tim and Justin McDonald, Will Knous, Jeremy Herron, Callie Knous Herron and Garrett Hyepock will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable contribution to Cartmell Home for Aged in Palestine or The Hospice of East Texas Home Place in Tyler.
Visitation will begin on Friday, September 9 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 1 p.m. to service time.
