Richard B. Setliff, 58, went to meet the Lord while in his sleep at home in Loving, Sunday morning Jan 24. Richard was born on September 26, 1957 to Norman and Eunice Setliff in Graham, where he grew up. The family moved to Jacksonville in East Texas in 1974 and Richard made his career as a truck driver until a heart problem prevented further commercial driving. At that time he returned to the family farm in Loving which he managed until he passed away due to continuing heart complications. He was baptized into Christ at the Church St. Church of Christ in Olney and was very involved with his extended family in Jacksonville and the DFW area as well as friends in the Loving area. He was a gentle soul who always wanted to assist others. There will be a simple service for family and friends at the Loving Community Center on Saturday, February 6 at 2:00 pm. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Richard is survived by his mother, Eunice; his twin brother Robert, his younger brother Roy and by his sisters Norma Schafer and Virginia Saulters along with two generations of nieces and nephews. And by his special friends, Rusty and Bubba, Australian cattle dogs. His father and brother Daniel preceded him in death.
