Patsy Ruth (Foreman) Berry was born on April 18th 1940 to L.D. foreman and Otha (Tew) Foreman in Jacksonville, Texas.
Patsy grew up in Gallatin and attended school there, as well as Jacksonville and Carlisle.
She attended Craft Baptist Church as a child where she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior during her teenage years.
Patsy married the love of her life, Jerry Don Berry, and they raised five children together.
She was heavily involved in their lives, going to sporting events, making carnival formals and helping organize the annual halloween carnival at Maydelle School.
When needed, she worked at the Mr. Fine dress factory in Jacksonville, Texas, where she was always a valued employee and a flawless seamstress.
She also sat with elderly patients in the local communities as they passed from this life to the next.
She loved crocheting, cooking, ceramics and sewing, as well of taking care of anyone she encountered that might need a helping hand.
She suffered a stoke in December 2010 and just a few short months later her husband brought her home to spend whatever time they had left, with him taking care of her just the way she had cared for him in the last 50 years prior to her stroke.
During this time, one of her favorite things to do was joyride all over the countryside, reminiscing about the good old days, being chauffeured by her beloved "Jerry Don." Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren that she once took such special care of and taught about unconditional love and selflessness had the honor of caring for her during this time.
On Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, Patsy crossed over Jordan and went on to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by her husband and all five of her beloved children.
Patsy is survived by her husband Jerry Don Berry of Maydelle; children, Teresia Hulsey and husband Steve of Mount Enterprise, Texas; their children Sarah, Savannah and Micah, Angelia Parker and husband David of Jacksonville, Texas; their children,Trey Julie and Matthew, Alvin Berry of Maydelle, TX, Dana Davenport and husband Bobby of Mineola, Texas; their children Eli and Jacob, Cathy Wagoner and husband Paul of Teague, Texas; their children, Emily, Kayla, Bailey and Abigail; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Gabriel and Radley Whisenant, Mary Caroline, Quade and Mallory Parker, and Brooklyn and Claire Pointer. She also is survived by her sisters Shirley Williams of Tyler, Texas, and Lanell Rogers of Jacksonville, Texas, and brother Lester Foreman of Jacksonville, Texas.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, L.D. and Otha Foreman, and her sister, Helen Burns.
