A funeral service for Norman Bob Robertson, age 81, of Jacksonville, is scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon Monday, June 13, 2016, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Bro. Mike Townsend officiating.
Robertson will be laid to rest at Jacksonville City Cemetery.
He passed away in his home in Jacksonville with his family nearby, Thursday, June 9, 2016.
Bob was born November 28, 1934, in Jacksonville to Bob and Bernice (Heath) Robertson.
Over Bob's life, he competed and placed in power lifting competitions, was a barber and also instructor at a barber college and an owner of a vending machine business. Bob had lived in Jacksonville in his younger days and loved it so much that after retirement, he moved back and built his on house to stay.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen Sipes; and sister, Rhonda Turner.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Imogene Robertson of Jacksonville; daughters, Betty Arnold and husband Ted of Alaska, Norma McGill, Jacksonville; son, Randal Sipes, Rhome; grandchildren, Michelle, Daylyn, Melanie, Christina, Adria, Joseph, Isaiah, Joshua, Paul, Erica, and Trissie; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016, and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
