Nellie Bea Boone Nellie Bea Underwood Boone, age 93, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 17, 2018 in Boerne, TX. She was born in Kennard Texas to T.E. and Nella (Robbins) Turner.
Nellie's family moved to Jacksonville TX where she attended East Side and Joe Wright schools. She graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1942 and is remembered as a member of the choir and as an accomplished seamstress. She had a long career in banking and retired as Vice-President of Wells Fargo Bank in Jacksonville in 1990. 
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, husbands John T. Underwood and Jack Boone, and her brother Lloyd D. Turner. She is survived by her sister, Syble Myers; sons John R. Underwood, Timothy L. Underwood, and Harold T. Underwood; daughters-in-law Nina L. Caris-Underwood, Jimmy Underwood, Bernice Underwood, and Dorothy Moss; grandchildren Mary Chadwick, John T. Underwood, Nellie Underwood, and Christiana Delgado; two great-grandchildren, Garrett Anderson and Miliana Rodriguez; niece Kathy Cash; grand-niece Sydney Cash; two stepdaughters, Danna Sims and Sandra Dorsett.
Nellie will always be remembered by her family as a loving sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and as a great cook. She lived a long, full life and always adhered to her motto, "Anything worth doing is worth doing right".
A memorial service will be held Feb. 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the McDonald Cemetery, New Summerfield, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Texas Children's Hospital, Shriners Childrens Hospital or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
