Monroe McAnally A graveside service with military honors for Monroe McAnally, age 90, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 1 o'clock in the afternoon Friday, October 5, 2018 at Tecula Cemetery. Rev. Larry Harrelson will officiate. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville
He passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Jacksonville.
Monroe was born February 6, 1928 in Jacksonville to Bart and Edna (Young) McAnally.
He was a dairy farmer and a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann McAnally; sons, David and Monroe A. McAnally, Jr.; brothers, Henry, Floyd, Delbert, Elbert and Oscar; and sisters, Sis Bufalo, Edith Harper, Josie Bass, Eva Barnett and Joyce Ruth.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Palmer and husband Carey of Alto, Cindy Meador of Jacksonville, Deonna Ganske and husband Mark of Maypearl, TX. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Stewart and Martina McAnally; 10 grandchildren: Chris, Stefanie, Kris, Jay, Tiffanie, Rebekah, Layla, Nick, Ashlee and Jennifer; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Ballew, Kris Meador, Marvin Harrelson, Jay Meador, Tiffanie Meador and James McAnally with Sue Byers in reserve.
