Graveside services for Mary Yvonne Potter, age 86, of Jacksonville, TX, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Union Chapel Cemetery in New Summerfield, TX, with Rev. Mike Bowen officiating.
Mary Yvonne was born April 3, 1930, in Murchison, TX. She had resided in Jacksonville for many years and was the previous owner of Jacksonville Answering Service which she and her daughter, Tony, operated for more than forty years before closing the business in 2008. She pasted away in Houston, TX on May 19, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
Mary Yvonne Potter was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Castleberry and Alice Barton Brown, two daughters, Tony Potter and Darlene Wilson, a sister, Grace Masco and a brother Max Castleberry.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Shonda Potter of New Summerfield, TX, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Weatherly of Dallas and Rebecca and Gene Cornolius of Mesquite, a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Susan Castleberry of Tomball, five grandchildren, Shawn, Kandi, Justin, Allison and Amanda, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville, TX.
