A graveside service for Larry Reneau, age 80, of Jacksonville is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Russell Cemetery with Rev. Don Copeland officiating under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
Mr. Reneau passed away March 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 7, 1937 in Sherman, TX to the late William Paul and Susan Essie Tribble Reneau. Mr. Reneau was a resident of Jacksonville over 25 years and Baptist by faith. He was retired from GTE/Verizon after 39 years of service and enjoyed hunting, fishing, taxidermy, woodwork and refinishing and antiquing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bobby Reneau, son, Chris Reneau, step-son, Tim Harris and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include his wife, Candace Reneau of Jacksonville, two sons and daughter-in-law, Larry Mark and Kelley Reneau of Maud, TX, John Paul Reneau of Longview, TX, daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Roger Redden of Rusk, step-daughter, Kim Lloyd of Rusk, six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will include Larry Mark Reneau, Roger Redden, Cliff Redden, Travis Meador, Tracy Hendricks and Ricky Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Kelton and Joel Shipley.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 1724 Crockett Road, Palestine, TX 75801-5902 or an animal shelter of your choice.
