Judy Kay Lunsford-OBrien joined our Almighty God Tuesday afternoon at her home after battling cancer at the age of 70. Judy is survived by her husband John OBrien, sons Shaun and Darren Lunsford, daughter-in-law Dionne Lunsford, grandchildren Keaton, Marlie, Ashton and Avery Lunsford and brothers Wayne and Ray Clabough.
Judy was born on 11/25/1948 in Tennessee but she has called Texas home for many years. She had a full rich life which included 35 years as a Critical Care Nurse, 5 years of service in the U.S. Army as a Captain, raised a wonderful family and settled a small farm near Reklaw where she raised goats chickens and horse. Judy had a deep love of both people and animals but her one true love and passion was for for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Judy and John are members of Branded by Christ Cowboy church. There will be a celebration of life service at the church on June 15 at 1 pm.

I had the opportunity to work along side Judy when tearing down a barn. She was truly a kind and patient person. I'll always remember her huge smile. May she rest in peace.
