Judith Nelle Davis Nutt was born August 29, 1936, in Floresville, Texas and passed away peacefully in her sleep at 2 P.M. on May 12, 2016. She was the third loving child of Jewel Brown Davis (deceased) and Grayum Debs Davis (deceased). She was baptized as a Christian in the Methodist Church by Rev. Elmer Radar (deceased) of Alice, TX. She was a 1954 graduate of Jacksonville High School and married her high school sweetheart, Donald Raymond Nutt (deceased) on December 22, 1956. She worked for many years for Nan Travis Hospital as a PBX operator and various clerical and staff positions at Bearden Furniture, Bailey Oil Company, and later on at the Jacksonville Public Library.
She is survived by her son, Cam Raymond Nutt of Tyler, a sister, Peggy Darlene Davis Cunningham of Nashville, TN, a niece Stephanie Cunningham Richardson and husband, David; a niece Melanie Cunningham Waltz and husband Reid; a grand-niece Sarah Waltz; a grand nephew, Ethan Waltz, a brother, Grayum Davis and wife, Dorothy; and nephews, Grayum Lee Davis and Randal Lloyd Davis; a sister-in-law, Patsy Nutt Usleton of Lufkin, TX and husband, Troy and nephews, John and David; and many relatives and close friends.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Resthaven Cemetery with the Rev. Barbara Hugghins officiating. The 1954 JHS classmates will serve as honorary pallbearers.
