Graveside services for Joe Randall Hendricks, Sr., age 78, of Jacksonville will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at the Hopewell Cemetery in Swan, Texas, under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Texas.
Joe Hendricks was born December 1, 1939 to Herbert and Fannie Beasley Hendricks in Tyler, Texas. He was raised in Lindale, Texas and graduated from Lindale High School.
He worked in Dallas for Safeway for 25 years as a butcher before moving to Jacksonville where he also worked as a butcher. Joe was a man that never met a stranger. He was
always the life of a party and loved making everyone laugh. He loved his sons very much and treasured every minute with them. He loved sports and always had one of the most
beautiful gardens found anywhere. Joe had served in the Army and the National Guard. Joe passed away in Jacksonville on December 14, 2017. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Joe is survived by his two sons, Joe Hendricks, Jr. and Stuart Hendricks, both of Jacksonville, six sisters, Louise Smith of Tyler, Margie Dobbs of Ennis, Dalphine Gilbert of Gadsden, AL,
Mary Liska of Chandler, Frances Gehrig of Ennis and Grace Mommart of Tyler and three grandchildren, Shenell Mobley, Ashlynn Hendricks and Skylar Hendricks, all of Jacksonville.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening at the Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Texas.
