Jerald Clint Thompson AKA "Clint," 69 of Jacksonville, left to be with his Lord and Savior November 13, 2017 in Jacksonville, Texas. 
There will be a memorial service held in his honor on Saturday at 2pm at the Trail To Christ Cowboy Church 5858 Hwy 79W Jacksonville, Texas
Clint was born in Hartselle, Alabama to Ralph and Mae Louise Thompson on September 15, 1948. After serving in the United States Marine Corp, he worked as a butcher for Bowens Grocery Store in Jacksonville.  He later then went to work for Union Pacific Railroad making a career for 33 years.  Clint loved his growing family of grand-kids, and was very proud to spend time with them whenever he could.  Clint also was an avid grill master, known by his grand-kids mainly for his brisket!  He enjoyed family game night playing 42 and cards and loved to dance but one of his favorite things to do was watching football, primarily The University of Alabama ROLL TIDE and Green Bay Packers. 
Clint was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mae Louise Thompson; his son Jerald Clint Thompson ll; brothers James, Ronnie and Robert Thompson; and his sister Georgia Thompson Cooper.
Clint is survived by his wife Sonja Thompson; daughters Dawn Conrad of Arvada, Colorado;  Stephanie Marie Bowden and husband Brian of Flint ; step daughters Tabitha Elliott and husband Royce of Jacksonville, Tammy Randolph and husband Josh of Jacksonville; brothers Dwight Thompson and wife Cassie of Jacksonville, Eddie Thompson and wife Karen of Murchison; sisters Pat Thompson of Alabama and Mary Brumit of Jacksonville; Grandchildren Jerald Gage, Trace Montgomery and Avery Ryann Conrad of Arvada, Colorado, Riley Marie and Kinsey Tye Bowden of Flint, TX, Jacob Ellis, Cody Elliott, Harrison Randolph of Jacksonville, TX, and his adopted grandkids Madison Langham, Madison Bovard, and Kai Jackson.  He also has several nieces and nephews. 
The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to the Hospice Connection, nurse Shannon Welch and social worker Taryn Ellis for all of their love, care and support.
