A funeral service for James Hataway, age 80, of Gallatin, is scheduled at 10 o'clock in the afternoon Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Chase Palmer officiating. He will be laid to rest in Henry Cemetery.
Mr. Hataway passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 in Jacksonville.
James was born April 26, 1937 in Gallatin to Marvin and Callie Hataway.
He was a member of Gallatin Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wendell Hataway; brother, Marvin Hataway, Jr.; and a sister, Jeanette Johnson.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 60 years, Mildred Hataway of Gallatin; son, Cam Hataway and wife Carla of Kerens; daughters, Pamela Folkman and husband Doug of Frisco, Teresa Stone and husband Steve of Lewisville, Sharla Parton and husband Lonny of Ft. Worth; and sister, Norma Jackson of Temple. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Bradley Harris, Emily Redlinger, Kameron Williams, Alison Hataway, Triniti Hataway, Morgan Hataway, Brandi Hataway; eight great-grandchildren, Adlee, Carter, Kinsley, Knox, Dylan, Chelsea, Alyssa and Dominic.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Harris, Steve Stone, Scotty Arnwine, Forest Meador, Jerry Meador and Kit Meador.
Visitation will begin on Friday, June 2, 2017 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
