Fairy Bolton Grigory entered her Heavenly Rest surrounded by her loving family on December 21, 2017. Mrs. Grigory was born in Jacksonville on July 16, 1929 to E.M. and Dessie Bolton. She was a graduate of the Jacksonville High School Class of '46. Mrs. Grigory worked for the Cherokee County Clerk's office for ten years prior to becoming County Clerk in 1977. She held the position for twenty years before her retirement in December 1997.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rusk.
Left to cherish her memory are three daughters and their husbands: Susan and John Taylor of Dickinson, Janet and Jack Davis of China Spring, and Kathy and Dick Montgomery of Grapeland. She was a beloved "Mimi" to eight grandchildren: Sandy Gilbert of Bullard, Michael and Lisa Wallace of McKinney, Rusty and Chelsea Jones of Elkhart, Mindi and Chris Tyer of Cedar Park, Lance Luedeker of Pflugerville, Jennifer and David Pierce of Tennessee Colony, Meredith and Bryce Childress of Whitehouse, and Molly Griffey of Tyler. They blessed their Mimi with 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Grigory is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Louise Carnes of Irving, Betty Loftin, Agnes and Roger Reagan, Helen and Jim Cromwell, Linda and Don Gregg of Jacksonville, Larry and Sandra Bolton, and Tony and Nancy Bolton of Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.M. and Dessie Bolton; brothers, Jack and Hubert Bolton, and her husband, Lewis Grigory.
A funeral service is scheduled at 10 o'clock in the morning Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Jacksonville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Wallace, Jacob Wallace, Rusty Jones, Lance Luedeker, Chris Tyer, Mitchell Gilbert and Bryce Childress.
