Ernest Dean Kellis, 80, of Alto, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016. He was born on October 25, 1935 to CK and Laura Kellis in Longview, Texas.  He served in the United States Air Force and was a truck driver. Dean enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing and will be greatly missed by many.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bob Kellis, Bill Kellis, Johnny Kellis, Peggy Kellis, Bonnie Thomson, Shirley Clifton, infant brother Robert and infant sister Ruby.  He is survived by his children Shane Kellis of Rusk, Shannon Kellis of Rusk, Jason Kellis and daughter-in-law Amanda Kellis of Rusk and Deanie Kellis and son-in-law Don Harvey of Longview and special friend Mary Kellis of Rusk.  He is also survived by sisters Margaret Grimes and husband Ronnie Grimes of Jacksonville, Carol Shahin of Jacksonville and Betty Urbanek and husband Leroy Urbanek of Sugarland, numerous nieces and nephews, eight granddaughters and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Friday, February 19, 2016 6-8pm at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of preference.
