A funeral service for Era Jean Biddy, age 75, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 10 o'clock in the morning Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Chaplain Eddy Secrest, Chaplain David Hicks and Rev. David Hallum will officiate.
Ms. Biddy passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Jacksonville.
Era Jean was born July 12, 1941, in Avinger, Texas, to Colonel Levi and Mila Loma (Watkins) Biddy.
She received a Bachelor's degree in History and French and taught in De Kalb and Whitehouse. Jean also worked for Bealls department store.
She was member of Afton Grove Baptist Church and was a past member of West Lake Baptist Church in the Chandler/ Lake Palestine area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Spivey and Josie Biddy and Mack and Ollie Watkins.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved sisters, Loma Dudley of Jacksonville, Betty Stine and husband Michael of Tyler and Marian Smith and husband Larry Pat of Maumelle, Arkansas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin one hour before service time at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
