A funeral service for Elvis "Patty" Sessions, age 68, of New Summerfield, Texas, is scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at First Baptist Church in New Summerfield with Dr. Edwin Crank, Dr. David Hellwig, and Bro. Donny Sadler officiating.
He will be laid to rest at Union Chapel Cemetery in New Summerfield. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Mr. Sessions passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Tyler.
He was born on December 8, 1947, in New Summerfield, to Auburn Reese and Eva Faye (Wallace) Sessions.
Patty was a member of First Baptist Church in New Summerfield, where he was a deacon and served as treasurer for more than 26 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a skillful carpenter, loved hunting and fishing, and in his leisure time loved to watch western movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 47 years, Micah Sessions of New Summerfield; daughters, Lori Carnes and husband Dee of Grand Saline and Amy Fickey and husband Kenny of New Summerfield; sisters, Judy Morcom of Ponta and Linda Kennedy and husband Chester of New Summerfield; seven grandchildren, Dakota, Leah, and Lane Carnes; Brady, Rylan, Kasyn and Destyn Fickey; and several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Pallbearers will be Brad George, Rocky George, Jamie Morcom, Kevin Solomon, Matt Murphy, and Trevor Murphy.
