A funeral service for Elsie Bailey, age 103, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 2 o'clock in the afternoon Friday, November 10, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with her Pastor Vernon Lee and Pastor Jerry Carroll officiating. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bailey passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Henderson.
Elsie was born November 9, 1913 in Hope, Arkansas.
Elsie was the sweetest lady ever who loved serving the Lord. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville for 50 years, a member of the Golden Jubilee and WMA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Eva (Greenly) Carroll; husband, Ira Bailey; brother, Andrew Carroll; sisters, Jewell Beardon and Elmus Ray; nephew, Bobby Carroll; niece, Peggy Hood and great-niece, Mandie Weston.
Left to cherish her memory are her nephews, Jerry Carroll of Laird Hill, Andrew Carroll of West Monroe, LA, Bruce Carroll of Memphis, TN; nieces, Charlotte Love Davis of Longview and Phyllis Love of Longview. She is also survived by great nephews, Marc and Mitch Carroll and great niece, Aimee Thomas; and a host of great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 9, 2017 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Elsie's family from 5 to 7 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
