Earl Harper Gay of Jacksonville, Texas passed away at Christus Mother Frances, Tyler, Texas surrounded by his family on April 8, 2017.
Earl was born May 19, 1938 in Jacksonville, Texas. He is preceded in his death by his wife, Dianne Dickson Gay as well as his parents, Earl Maxwell Gay and Gwendolyn Gay.
He graduated from Jacksonville High School and served in the Air Force. He was retired owner of Gay Gulf Service Station and a 50 year Mason in the Masonic Lodge 108. Earl was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church and the Good Fellows Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Beall and husband Chris of Bullard, Texas and Tammy Philbrick and husband, Kelly of Jacksonville, Texas. Earl or (Pa) is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher and Tiffany Beall of Bullard, Texas, Matthew and Jordan Beall of Whitehouse, Texas, Victoria and Bradley Beall of Bullard, Texas and Lance and Kara Philbrick of Jacksonville.
Earl is also survived by his six great grandchildren, Levi and Tenley Beall, Brayden, Ryleigh, and Jackson Beall and Hadley Philbrick as well as nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his long standing friend and class mate, Raymond Folmar.
Visitation will be at 1:00 with the funeral service beginning at 1:30 Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in the chapel at Central Baptist Church. A private burial will be at Vinson Cemetery following the service. Services are under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville, TX.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Good Fellows Sunday School Class of Central Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
