A funeral service for Billy E. McAnally, age 74, of Rusk, is scheduled
for 10 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Rev. Darryl Johnson will officiate. He will be laid to rest with full Military Honors at Jarratt Cemetery.
Billy passed away on Monday November 6, 2017 in Tyler. He was born June 5, 1943 in Jacksonville to Henry E. and Della May Gossett McAnally. Mr. McAnally was a Baptist. Billy was a retired SFC E-7 in the U.S. Army, serving his country in Vietnam. He was a recipient of the distinguished Purple Heart Medal as well as the Bronze Star.
After serving his country, Billy worked as an industrial maintenance technician at Teknor Color Industries of Jacksonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Kenneth McAnally, sisters; Nell Wynne, Pat Blount and Wanda Welch.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 29 years; Malisa McAnally, Rusk, sons; Derrick Berryhill and wife Lara, Jacksonville, Jim McAnally and wife Jennifer, Hudson Falls, NY, daughters; Shelly Henderson and husband Joe, Brownwood, and Chandra Bivens, Thorndale, a brother; Jimmy McAnally and wife Paula, Stanton. He is survived by thirteen grandchildren; Nate Evans, Jordan Evans, Mikayla Evans, Talan Berryhill, Lainey Berryhill, Chase Collins and wife Jennifer, Krystyne Bivens, Trista Henderson, Cody Sydow, Tobey Spivey, Sara Spivey, Shawn McAnally and Carrie McAnally. There are eleven great-grandchildren.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are; David Blount, Kenneth Gray, Cody Dison, Jordan Evans, Thomas McAnally and Josh Randolph.
Honorary pallbearers are; Billy Blount and Terry Grimes.
Visitation will begin on Friday, November 10, 2017 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Billy's family from 6 to 8 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
