A funeral service for Barbara McMillan, age 78, of Jacksonville, is scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon Monday, November 27, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Rev. Jerry Griffin and Rev. Larry Barker will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. McMillan passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Tyler.
Barbara was born January 13, 1939 in Dallas to Walter Albert and Roxy Kathryn (Conaway) Delock.
Mrs. McMillan was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She served as a nursing home volunteer worker, supported numerous organizations and was a former hairdresser. Barbara was also previously employed by Brookshire's as a grocery checker and inventory clerk.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Frank McMillan of Jacksonville; sons, Rick Sutton and wife Stacey of Forney, and David Kyle Smith of Dallas; daughters, Kathy Moore and husband Don of Rusk, and Rhonda Cox Carter of Yukon, OK; three sisters, Linda Howard of Mt. Vernon, Nancy Frank of Mesquite, and Jean Arnold and husband Don of San Antonio; five grandchildren, Courtney Tipton and husband Mark, Cody Skelton, Sarah McCrimmon, Darrell Moore and wife Kelly, and Jeff Moore and wife Demetria; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan Cartwright, Carson Goynes, Macy Moore, Cassidy Moore, Makayla Moore, Keegan Moore, Madison McCrimmon, and Kingstyn McCrimmon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Barr, Joe Weaver, Joe Sommerall, J.J. Ochoa, Curt Golemon, and Ken Hassell.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, November 26, 2017 with family receiving friends from 4 to 6 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
