A funeral service for Barbara Jo Dick, age 70, of Bullard, is scheduled at 2 o'clock in the afternoon Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Pastor David Butler will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Still Waters Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville.
Barbara passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Tyler.
She was born October 18, 1947 in Mexia, Texas to Carl and Maddie (Story) Beckham.
Barbara worked for Galaxy Boat Works for 18 years and was co-owner of D&D Auto Sales. She was an avid bowler and was a member of several bowling leagues.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sheila Beckham; sisters-in-law, Sharon Beckham and Erma Jo Loubiere; and brother-in-law, Roy Cathey.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 44 years, Don Dick of Bullard; sons, Jeff Banks and wife Susan of Bullard, Brett Banks of Bullard, Tommy Townsend and wife Susie of Orange Grove; daughters, Annette Swinney and husband Cyrus of Deer Park, and Angela Donnell Ballew of Bullard. She is also survived by brother, Charles Beckham of Mont Belvieu; sister, Brenda Cathey and husband Delbert of Frankston; seven grandchildren, Jaylee Ralston, Brettni Banks, Donald Brooks Ralston, Ivey Jo Ballew, Kelby McDonald, Cassidy Townsend, Noah Townsend and Drate Berry; six great grandchildren, Kezley, Asa, Castin, Jaxson, and Parker. There are several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin on Friday, November 10, 2017 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Barbara's family from 7 to 9 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
