Arvel's Story

A funeral service for Arvel Dwayne Partain, age 59, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 10 o'clock in the morning Friday, November 11, 2016 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Larry Barker officiating. He will be laid to rest at Meador Cemetery.
Mr. Partain passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 in Jacksonville.
Dwayne was born October 6, 1957 in Bay City, Texas.
He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Dwayne worked for the Department of Corrections for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arvel Partain; mother, Opal Richards; brother, Claude "Boogie" Allen; and a sister, Penny Bledsoe.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Amber Partain of Jacksonville; sons, Stephen Partain and wife Kristen of Longview, Brandon Partain and wife Nikki of Birmingham, AL; stepmother, Sheron Stroble of Brazoria; brother, Ricky Rhodes of Brazoria; sisters, Patricia Rogers and husband Bruce of Angleton, Niece Partain, Darla Rhodes, Terri Hussey, all of Brazoria; and grandchildren McKenna and Rachel Partain.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Partain, Brandon Partain, Jody Daugherty, Gerald "Buddy" Daugherty, Jason Foster and Donnie Hutchings.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne's co-workers from the Skyview Unit in Rusk.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 10, 2016 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 o'clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
