Funeral services for Antonia (Tony) Villatora Douglas, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Resthaven Cemetery in Jacksonville under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boren-Conner Funeral Home.
Antonia was born in Buje, Italy, on Feb 26, 1925, and passed away in her sleep on June 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband William Russell Douglas, in 2012.
Survivors include daughter Susanna Mitchell of Austin, Texas; sons William Douglas Jr. of Jacksonville; Michael Douglas of Jacksonville; Robert Douglas of Norman, Oklahoma; Steven Douglas and Mark Douglas, also of Jacksonville; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She has three surviving sisters, Wilma Canciani and Maddalena Grisanich, both in Australia, and Carla Loy of Argentina. Her brother, Guido Villatora, and sisters Nerina Udovici and Mariucci Anzlovar, passed away a few years ago.
Tony was known for her gregarious and vivacious personality, warmth and charm. She was also known for her delicious pizza, manicotti, gnocchi and lasagna. She was dearly loved by all who knew her.
